Talent acquisition and Leadership excellence (10%)
- Spearhead and inspire the Creative (Concept + Design + Traffic) team through effective leadership and supervision.
- Actively engage in talent acquisition by conducting interviews and facilitating training for new team members while nurturing the continuous development of existing staff.
- Foster a collaborative environment through regular team meetings, ensuring seamless communication, information sharing, and adherence to streamlined work processes.
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor the performance of direct reports, aligning efforts to propel team development.
Operational Strategy Champion (50%)
- Direct and manage all operational facets within the team, playing a pivotal role in steering Concept initiatives company-wide.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Management and Sales Director to support and enhance Sales Strategy.
- Take charge of external design-related communications with customers, ensuring precision and alignment with company standards.
- Uphold Creative quality as the ultimate gatekeeper of final Creative delivery.
- Implement continuous improvement by regularly assessing and refining work processes.
Strategic Collaboration Expert (25%)
- Forge strong collaborations with the French & Dutch Design teams, contributing to projects related to marketing strategies, branding, and concept/design for customer initiatives.
- Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with the French Design team as an integral part of the EU Design Strategy.
- Collaborate with heads of other departments to shape and execute departmental strategies and goals (OGSM).
- Efficiently coordinate communication and briefing internal stakeholders (e.g., design team, Sales, NPD, Marketing) on ongoing projects.
Brand Champion (10%)
- Take ownership of maintaining established brand guidelines in design and contribute to the creation of new brand guidelines.
- Lead "the Talk" initiatives and deliveries through a compelling creative vision.
Financial Steward (5%)
- Exercise responsibility for the creation and expenditure of the Department Budget, ensuring fiscal prudence and strategic allocation of resources.
Requirements and wishes
- Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Creative, Product Design or Product Development
- 5+ years of Concept or Product Development and Strategic (team manager) experience, preferable with an association to the Beauty Market.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail, Communication skills, Prioritizing, Proactive, Resourceful, TeamPlayer, Attention to Detail, Passion for the Beauty Industry
- Self-starter and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Emphatic
- Prior Management experience, able to oversee a diverse team of individuals on a creative level
- Ability to successfully influence within a matrix organization and bring it to an even higher level
- Initiator who combines commercial and creative insight when developing projects, work processes etc.
- Skills including but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, Trend Watching, Product Development (within Beauty)
- Creative, Innovative thinking and Eye for Details
- Microsoft Office skills
- Proficient level (B2) in English is a must and Dutch is a pre, an extra language such as French, Mandarin, German is a plus.
