Dion Hendriks & Leon Keizer (TBWA) win the Red Bull pitch with 'Energy Contract'
Dion Hendriks and Leon Keizer from TBWA have been crowned the winners of the first pitch this year, organized by JongeHonden for Red Bull. Their concept, 'Energy Contract', stood out among a pool of fierce creative talent and secured them a ticket to the Cannes later this year.
This time, Red Bull challenged the young creatives to think beyond the single can. The briefing focused on promoting homestocking, encouraging consumers to grab a 4- or 6-pack of Red Bull instead of just one. Dion and Leon’s winning idea cleverly helps Red Bull to solve the challenge in a playful campaign that offers energy you can actually feel, not just pay for.
Easy insight
"Niet verwacht dat wij de enige waren met dit inzicht, zo simpel. Maar goed, Cruijf zei ooit: "Voetbal is simpel, maar het moeilijkste wat er is, is simpel voetballen. En meer dan dat weten we eigenlijk niet over voetbal", Dion & Leon share.
The concept impressed the jury - Marije Hobo, Esmee Horn, and David de Bruijn from Wink, alongside Rico de Lange from Boomerang - with its sharp cultural insight and perfectly on-brand tone. With this win, Dion and Leon will soon be packing their bags for Cannes, joining a new generation of Dutch creatives set to make waves at the world’s most inspiring festival of ideas.
