There's a new kid in town: GUT heeft hun eerste Europese vestiging geopend in Amsterdam. Het onafhankelijke bureau viert in 2023 hun vijfjarig bestaan en mocht Cannes Lions in ontvangst nemen voor Independent Network Of The Year, Independent Agency Of The Year en Global Agency Of The Year. Wij appten met Natalia Forster die het Amsterdamse team zal gaan leiden als Managing Director.

How are you doing? Have you had some rest yet after all the Cannes festivities?

I'm good, thank you, hope you are as well
Yes, Cannes was intense, but coming back after our results was even more intense

Have you celebrated the wins yet with the Amsterdam office?

Every day. Winning at that level gave our start up operation a great deal of momentum.

Indeed something to be proud of
And no better way to build up your courage, I think!

Bravery is a core aspect of our DNA, but these wins gave us for sure an energy boost!

How are these aspects visible in GUT's work?

It's a mindset that travels from the kick off session with our brave clients to the brief to our creative development to the outcome. We look for work that will set our clients apart resulting into a betterment of their own business. For GUT, bravery means business.

Setting up a new office also requires some bravery, why do you think Amsterdam is the best next step for GUT?

Amsterdam is at the heart of Europe, and has been and still is the home of some of the most creative agencies in the world. For GUT it was a clear choice to kick off our operations in Europe.

Cool! What are some things you hope to achieve here in the next coming months?

You have been based in Amsterdam for quite some years now, what made you decide to join GUT right after they landed here?

I've known Gaston Bigio, one of the founders for 21 years. Have always admired his work and when GUT AMSTERDAM became a reality it was simply a no-brainer.
